What do you want to be when you grow up? That is the question every child is asked. My entire life I have cared about others and have had the desire to make an impact on people’s lives for the better. I believe that I can help people improve their quality of life and increase overall health. I value the Naturopathic philosophy of treating the root cause of a problem instead of covering it up.
I graduated from Bastyr University with a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine and a Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. I specialize in pain management, fertility, chronic fatigue, stress, and primary care including thyroid disorders, Gastrointestinal complaints (GERD, IBS, Crohn's, food sensitivities, etc), sleep disturbance, anxiety, depression, neuropathy, autoimmune disease, and more. I have extended education in IV therapy, neural therapy, craniosacral, visceral manipulation, nutrition, and botanical and Chinese herbal formulas. My undergraduate degree includes a Bachelor of Nutrition and Food Science from Colorado State University.
While at Bastyr University, I was provided with a great opportunity to volunteer and give back to the community. Locally I worked with two homeless shelters, Tent City and Roots Youth Shelter. I also volunteered with the Foster Children of Seattle. Furthermore, I travelled to Haiti where I volunteered in two clinics, Naturopaths Without Boarders and Mamababy Haiti. To my surprise for all of my volunteer work I was honored with the Sheila Quinn Service to Society Award.
Memberships: American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and Washington East Asian Medicine Association.
Dr. Rebekah Thompson
Naturopathic Doctor
I have been interested in medicine since I was very young. No one could figure out why I was having stomach pain. I was just a child and I felt unheard. From that point on I knew that I really wanted to be a doctor. I wanted to help children feel heard and feel better because its an opportunity I didn’t have. As I began this journey, I started seeing varieties of people: men, women and children. Hearing all of their stories, I noticed many of them felt the same way I did, unheard by their doctors.
I became a naturopathic physician because I believe in the core of naturopathic medicine. I believe in finding the root cause of the problem and treating that, not just the symptoms. I believe in educating my patients on what I believe, not just telling them what will help; so that they can understand too.
I graduated from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine with a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona. I specialize in chronic disease and primary care for pediatrics and adults. More specifically I specialize in weight loss, thyroid disorders, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, anxiety, endometriosis, and more. Through nutrition, homeopathy, botanicals and more I help people take back their health!
Dr. Amanda Tieu
Naturopathic Doctor and Acupuncturist
Originally from Southern California, I received my undergraduate degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of California, Riverside in 2014. During my time there, I was a clinical care volunteer for the local hospital for 1.5 years. After witnessing a lot of chronic disease and pain, I felt there were more ways to treat a patient.
This led me to Bastyr University where I received a License in Massage Therapy, a Doctorate degree in Naturopathic Medicine and a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. During my time there, I participated in nonprofit organizations that sought to provide care to underserved patients. I was also a member of the sports medicine club where we focused on acute injuries and post-recovery treatments of athletes.
I believe in providing quality patient care through an integrative medical approach. I am passionate about bringing sustainable changes to a patient’s overall health through communication, collaboration and compassion. My current areas of interests are primary care, dermatology, gastroenterology, pain management, electroacupuncture, and Chinese herbs.
